I love to hear about the Killough clan from all parts of the world. I would like to hear from anyone that has visited Ireland, and have met descendants of our ancestors there. I was born in Matthews, Mecklenburg County, NC. Son of Hurley Hamilton Killough and Kathleen Kingsly (Phillips) Killough. I am married to Janet (Solada) Killough we have children, grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Never had a chance for the empty nest syndrome. I served twelve years in the US army, with overseas tours in Korea and Germany. Left the army to become a commercial pilot. Am now an FAA designated pilot examiner Airline Transport Pilot, Single & Multiengine instrument rated flight instructor and owner of Planejoe flight school at the Concord Regional Airport, Concord, NC. At the age of 69 I am still very active in the aviation industry. My hobbies are, my work, gardening, golf and bowling. I love playing and listening to bluegrass and mountain music. I suppose that comes from our heritage. My love for aviation and for music was both an inspiration from my Uncle Archie Wallace Killough, (father of Gary).   Respectively Joe N.
